A peine né pour le grand public, le microbloging commence déjà à se concentrer. J’ai appris ce matin via Twitter (un outil de microbloging, le meilleur à mon sens) que Seesmic, la nouvelle entreprise de Loïc Le Meur, avait racheté Twhirl, un client (comprenez logiciel à installer sur son PC – ou Mac). Pourquoi ? Parce que celui-ci facilite grandement l’échange de petits messages à tout son réseau social, mais aussi parce qu’il permet d’agréger plusieurs systèmes de microbloging. On peut donc s’attendre, en plus de Jaiku, ou Pownce pour le texte, TwitPic pour les photos, Tinyurl pour les liens, à voir bientôt débarquer une fonction pour la vidéo.

Plus d’update dans les jours qui viennent, c’est en tout cas un mouvement très "smart" de la part de Loïc, qui met ainsi la main sur le principal "provider" de tweets (7% des posts se font via Twhirl à ce jour). Et clairement un argument de plus en faveur de la stratégie Software + Service !

J’utilise depuis quelques temps un outil dénommé Tumblr. Il s’agit d’un mix entre , dont je vous ai parlé à plusieurs reprises déjà, et d’un gestionnaire de blog style WordPress.

S’il est à mi-chemin des deux, c’est qu’il permet beaucoup plus de choses qu’un Twitter, avec la possibilité de dépasser les 140 sacro-saints caractères, mais également de mettre des photos, des vidéos, des dialogues de MSN ou Skype, des citations, des musiques, des liens ou même des flux RSS. Voilà pour la moitié du chemin. L’autre moitié du chemin consiste en une simplification d’un outil de blogging, puisqu’il n’y a là ni catégorie, ni codage spécifique (wiki ou html), ni ajout de plugins ou widgets quelconques.

Pour mieux comprendre, voici ce qu’en dit Wikipedia : “A tumblelog or tlog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author’s creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.”

L’intérêt que j’y trouve est simple : je suis un peu frustré par les 140 caractères de twitter et par l’impossibilité de mettre de contenu multimédia. Et de l’autre côté, je n’ai des fois pas envie de faire un long article, j’ai juste envie de poster des choses rapidement, parfois même tout simplement pour les archiver quelque part.

Bon, alors ok, mais à quoi ça ressemble du coup ?
Eh bien pour l’utilisateur, c’est une sorte de Dashboard (comprenez console d’administration) simplifiée, avec différentes petites icônes suivant ce que vous voulez poster. Chacun mène alors à un formulaire très simple (2 ou 3 champs, pas plus) qui vous permet de rapidement enregistrer le contenu désiré. Et voilà, c’est tout pour la partie “post”. Il existe également des réglages avancés pour gérer deux-trois choses comme le graphisme notamment.

Côté visiteur, cela donne une page style “journal intime”, avec les différentes entrée regroupées jour par jour. Voici un exemple ici, avec ma page de Tumblr à moi. Je vous invite bien évidemment à en visiter d’autres, et à créer la votre !!!

Pour être totalement franc, enfin, j’avoue que pour le moment, je ne me suis pas trop penché sur l’aspect de customisation graphique. Mais pour avoir visiter la galerie des plus beaux tumblelogs, on peut vraiment faire des trucs sympa ! Allez, dès que j’ai un peu de temps je m’y mets !

, le désormais bien connu outil de microblogging, commence de sortir de chez lui. On le retrouve de plus en plus souvent intégré dans d’autres applications, comme par exemple Seesmic ou Dopplr.

Mais là où l’on se rend compte que ce petit service web commence sérieusement à prendre sa place parmi nos moyens de communication et surtout parmi nos habitudes, c’est que des services tournant uniquement autour de Twitter se mettent en place.

Parmi ceux-ci, l’un d’eux m’a beaucoup amusé : Twittories. C’est la contraction de Twitter (évidemment) et de Stories (ohhh ?!). C’est un peu le jeu des papiers roulés (si, si, je me souviens y avoir joué étant petit), où l’on commence une histoire et où chacun autour de la table doit la continuer.

Eh bien Twittories nous fait jouer à ce jeu à plus grande échelle, et sur le net. Partant sur la base des 140 caractères autorisés dans un Tweet’, le site permet à 140 auteurs de composer leur histoire, chacun intervenant à un moment précis du récit.
